Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Phonics

Each week you will receive a phonics home learning sheet. This will share with you the sounds and tricky words that we have been learning this week so that you can continue to support and reinforce at home.

Home reading

Your child will bring home one Little Wandle Big Cat Collins reading book each week. This book must be brought into school each day with their reading diary. We ask that you listen to your child read regularly and record any comments in the reading diary. Books are changed weekly. This is to ensure children have regular, repeated practice reading the text in order to build up fluency.

The EYFS newsletter

Each week we will share with you our Reception newsletter which will outline what skills we have been learning in the last week and suggest ways that you may wish to support and reinforce this at home.
